BlackBerry Torch 2 leaked ahead of official release

Following BlackBerry’s success with the Bold Touch 9900, RIM is set to announce the release for its second generation Torch, new leaks suggest.
Images have surfaced on the internet, albeit not the best of quality, showing the new Torch 2 ahead of its anticipated release later this year.

A spokesperson for RIM said: “RIM doesn’t comment on rumour or speculation” in a short interview with T3.

There has already been a batch of images on the internet, seemingly showing the BlackBerry Touch but RIM declined to comment on their authenticity.

If rumours are correct the device will sport a metal back opposed to its usual crosshatched glass. Further specification has giving the Torch 2 a 1.2Ghz processor, 512MB of RAM, and Bluetooth 2.1. It is thought the handset will ship with the latest BlackBerry 7 OS designed for the greater processing power of the 1.2Ghz chip.
