Android Dominates The U.S. Market Smartphones

Google Android operating system has increased its market share in the U.S. for more than five percent.

In a study by ComScore, between February and May this year as a percentage of Google smart phone subscribers increased to 38.1 percent, compared to 33 percent.

RIM BlackBerry owners meanwhile, saw its market share drop from 28.9 to 24.7 percent during the same period. Microsoft and Palm also saw falls of 1.9 and 0.4 percent.

Meanwhile, Apple has increased its share of smartphone users to increase slightly by 1.4 percent, taking its market share to just over one quarter. In the material issues, the Samsung phones are used by 24.8 percent of U.S. users, while Apple is accounting for only 8.7 percent
