Apple Sells Mac OS X Copies Of Leon 1m On The First Day

Apple announced that one million copies of Mac OS X operating system, the Lion was sold in the first 24 hours since its launch.

Lion, which is the eighth iteration format revolutionary OS X has become the operating system the fastest-selling Apple's history, the company said in a statement.

"Leo is a great start off, and review of industry response is fantastic," says the director of marketing Phil Schiller.

"Leo is a huge step forward, not just full of innovative features, but it's incredibly easy for users to update their Mac OS the best we've ever done."

Taking speed can undoubtedly be attributed to the new download-only mechanism, where the Lion is available exclusively for the Mac App Store in 123 countries.

Users no longer have to meet at the nearest Apple Store to take the physical disk and install the comfort of your armchair.

An attractive price of only £ 20.99 undoubtedly contributed as well.

Leone, who landed on the Mac App Store now has over 250 new features, including numerous multi-touch and native applications in full screen.
