Nokia Makes The Record Loss Of £ 323million

Nokia sees 25 percent drop in handset sales, which the Finnish company recorded a record loss of 323 million pounds in three months, in late June

Nokia, the largest mobile phone company in the world, has sent a record £ 323m loss for the three months to end June, this 25 percent drop in sales of the handset.

Even if the profit record of € 227m last year and receive one-off € 430m payment from Apple as a result of a dispute, the Finnish phone maker has seen year on year decline in revenues, which Corporation has announced in April it will lay off more than 4,000 members of its global workforce.

In attack after attack, recent data from research firm Gartner, the technology has demonstrated Nokia's global market share in mobile devices has fallen to its lowest level since 1997.

Nokia President and CEO Stephen Elop, who earlier this year, has been involved in media storm when he announced to colleagues via email, the Nokia was from "burning platform," he said in a statement: "Against the challenges of our strategic transformation occurs in the 2 higher than expected first quarter 2011, up to a quarter, I think. our actions to mitigate the impact of these challenges have begun to positively affect the health of our core activities .

"Above all, we are better than expected progress toward our strategic objective," a statement.

There are many different factors to blame the fall of Nokia, but many argue that the difficulty of the Symbian operating system, has had a huge impact. Since its launch in 2010, Symbian has not responded to the same level as the success of Android and Apple's mobile operating system IOS.
